We just completed a 8 day RSPB trip with a 70 year+ client clocking 202 species and photographing 179 of those (88.61%)!Bagged all the Kingfishers, Babblers, Bulbuls, Hornbills, Wagtails and most ducks, raptors and owls! 2023 has been a truly fantastic year for us and we are indebted to all our awesome clients for that. It is about after 11 years of birding (6 of those being commercial), I was able to clock the 400th bird in Goa (Whinchat at Ozarim on 22nd December 2023 with Aidan) and 369 of them photographed so far, for my all time Goa score! We have had special moments of lifers such as the Crab Plover at Kundapur with Satrajit Bhattacharya, a photo lifer of the Indian Skimmer at Agacaim Beach with Lakshmi Chatterjee and Bhaskar Mandal, or a photo lifer of the Legge’s Hawk Eagle at Netravati with Dan Browne!Lifers for me now come far and in between for me since I am now completely focussed on Goa and the Western Ghats but our data driven birding, consistency of our associates, reliance on tech, dependability, safety protocols, consistency, passion and energy never wavers or falters and that is a promise to our worldwide clients so far and in 2024 and beyond!
